Had a wonderfully time following the World Cup Bahrain’s newest and biggest Sports Bar, Murphy’s. It’s all about the sport here, with 23 screens broadcasting the best of world sport every day of the week. But it doesn’t end there, there are plenty of bar...More
Booked in for a weekend with my wife, the hotel is clean and nice and located where we needed.
The check in was a bit slow and only one working on the front counter,
The doorman has payed more attention to he mobile then assisting with guests coming and going and ordered room service for breakfast that was quiet difficult the operator found it difficult to understand my order although it was one item only and very clearly written out on the menu.
Comfortable room but probably won’t be back

We arrived earlier than the check in time of 2pm which the hotel were fine about. They took our luggage and said we were free to use the facilities until check in and then they would call us to do so. We went and spent a couple hours at the pool as well as getting some food at the café at poolside. The reception didn't call us however and had to go and ask for a room number in order to order food. As the food came so did the bill which I asked if it could be put on our room and was told it was not possible as we had "no credit" available. I didn't understand what this meant and the waiter was unable to communicate it either just saying "room has no credit" so payed on card. The pool was nicely laid out and a member of staff was always around, shame though that the glass of the infinity pool was very dirty so couldn't see the amazing view however.
Soon after finishing our lunch we made our way to the room. The room was incredibly spacious, large bed and tv. The bath was large and the shower room had a large powerful flow. The only thing was that the pictures on the website showed that every room had bathrobes and ours did not.
As part of our package we had an hours PT session which was good, adopting to our differing fitness and strength levels to ensure we both were worked hard. The guy taking us was very professional and even had a joke with him. After the session he even gave us the session we had just completed so that we could do it once we left.
Went for an hours couples massage at the in hotel spa as part of our package we should of got 25% off the price but the receptionist who did not speak very good English was adamant it was only 20%. After a few minutes discussion and showing evidence of the 25% discount we ended up yielding and taking the 20% discount. The massage itself was wonderful we both really enjoyed it and felt very relaxed afterwards.
The hotel is very close (5 min walk) to the lagoon which hosts a number of coffee shops, restaurants etc so went here for dinner after not being that impressed with lunch.
When we got to bed we noticed that the loud banging and music that was ongoing until 2am, called reception and they said the will request it is turned down but seemed to make no difference.
The options at breakfast were great lots of freshly cooked options and cereals etc. The "hot" options were disappointingly room temperature at best and for a 5* hotel wasn't good enough really. We went to breakfast at 10am and it was obvious that the food had been sat there since breakfast started at 6:30.
Check out was easy as we had payed for the room at check in so just dropped our keys in the box and left. All in all a good place to stay, but for a 5* hotel there are a number of things mentioned that were disappointing to have.
